Simply Red have announced they will perform a final hometown show at Manchester's M.E.N Arena on Sunday 12 December.

One of Britain's best loved soul-pop bands, Simply Red return home to bring the curtain down on a 25 year career.

Speaking ahead of their final Manchester show, Denton-born Mick Hucknall said: "Welcome to the final year of 25 mind blowing years. What an adventure it's been!".

Simply Red have enjoyed a string of memorable hits including Money's Too Tight (To Mention), Holding Back the Years, The Right Thing, If You Don't Know Me By Now, It's Only Love, A New Flame, Something Got Me Started, Stars, Home and Fairground.

The announcement of the Farewell Tour coincides with the release of a new Simply Red album, Songs Of Love, out now.
