The Empire State Of Mind star, nominated for two Brit Awards at Tuesday's ceremony, returns to the M.E.N Arena for the first time since July 2008's American Gangster tour.

Hot on the heels of winning an MTV Music Award for Best Urban Act, as well as notching up three Grammy's at this years ceremony in LA, the former CEO of Def-Jam and Roc-A-Fella Records will be performing tracks from his latest album The Blueprint 3 including the chart-topping hits Run This Town and Empire StateOf Mind.

Jay-Z's self-financed debut, Hard Knock Life, was a huge global smash selling over 8 million copies. His record company, Roc-A-Fella Records, expanded from there taking on a stable of artists and leading them to similar success whilst Jay-Z himself released 2001's The Blueprint and secured ever-lasting fame with an album that is widely regarded as one of the classics of the hip hop genre.

Despite retiring following 2003's The Black Album, Jay-Z returned in 2006 with Kingdom Come and, earlier this year, released his 11^th album The Blueprint 3.
