Bad Company

Get the low down on one of the most acclaimed bands of the classic rock era with the MEN Arena's top five Bad Co. facts:

1: The original members of the English supergroup - Paul Rodgers, Mick Ralphs and Simon Kirke - will perform at the Manchester venue next spring to celebrate the release of their new live CD/DVD, due out early next year.

2: Former Free frontman Rodgers, who recently performed at the Arena with Queen, was recently presented with the 'Classic Songwriter Award' at the annual Classic Rock Magazine Roll of Honour 2009. Rolling Stone recently named him one of the 'Top 100 Singers Of All Time' and Classic Rock UK placed him second on their '50 Greatest Singers In Rock' list.

3: After the break up of Free, Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke teamed up with Mott The Hoople guitarist Mick Ralphs to form Bad Company in 1973. The following year they released their self-titled debut which included the hit single Can't Get Enough.

4: The band followed this with their classic rock albums Straight Shooter, Run With The Pack, Burnin' Sky and Desolation Angels before splitting in the early 80's.
