Yonex European Badminton Championships

14th, 15th, 16th, 17th & 18th April 2010

In another sporting coup for the venue, Manchester's M.E.N Arena has been confirmed as the host venue for next year's Yonex European Badminton Championships.

With London 2012 looming on the horizon, Badminton England Ambassador Gail Emms has earmarked the likes of Gabby White, Raviv Ouseph, Chris Adcock and local girl Jenny Wallwork to make their mark at next year's Manchester tournament.

Bolton-born Jenny Wallwork said: "My family roots are in the North West so it's a tremendous boost for badminton in the region to have another major event taking place here."
